Junkosha Delivers Enduring Phase Performance for Microwave Coaxial Cables

January 23, 2019

Phase changes pose a challenge for microwave coaxial cables when they are bent or exposed to temperature fluctuations. Junkosha, a company at the forefront of sophisticated fluoropolymer application technologies, answers the challenge with high-end RF cables offering unmatched performance and high reliability.

Junkosha’s core message of ‘phase performance that endures’ is supported by the company’s MWX range of microwave coaxial cable assemblies – flexible signal transmission lines that rely on PTFE properties and are used in applications up to 120 GHz. Junkosha cabling, stocked and distributed by Gap Wireless, provides excellent durability, offers a high degree of phase reproducibility, and maintains phase stability for a long period of time.

The flexible and hand-formable 110GHz JUNFLON® MWX001 assembly features the lowest insertion loss of any cable for measuring applications that require flexibility. Key attributes include:

    • Low insertion loss and excellent phase stability against bending up to 110GHz
      • High quality signal transmission with excellent flexibility and form-sustainability
      • 1.0mm(m) and 1.0mm(f) connectors available, providing lowest insertion loss
    • Safety-Lock mechanism which ensures that the 1.0mm(m) connector pin is inserted safely and accurately
    • Standard type armored with SUS spiral tube for mechanical damage reduction.

The MWX001 cable has an outer diameter of only 4.0mm, with a minimum bending radius of 15mm. Continuous operating temperature range spans -30 to +85 degrees Celsius.

With long-life durability and excellent phase stability, Junkosha’s MWX cable reduces Total Cost of Ownership by minimizing cable replacement and calibration cycles.
