The TEKO DAS Platform is comprised of two main elements: the Master Unit, a rack-based modular platform allowing multiple configurations for various applications; and Remote Units (RUs), which use a single mode optical fiber to connect to the Master Unit for the distribution of multiple frequency bands and multiple Carriers/MNOs. With a future-proof design created to adapt to future technologies, the Master Unit can connect to each Remote Unit or to multiple RUs for multipath (e.g. MIMO) configurations. The self-contained RUs are offered from Low Power to High Power designs and distribute signals to both indoor and outdoor antennas.
The Master Unit in the TEKO DAS Platform provides both the RF interface (off-air and/or via coaxial cable) to the signal source (BTS, NodeB, Donor) as well as the optical interface to Remote Units. The Master Unit additionally hosts the Supervision Module to manage the entire System, which utilizes secure browser technology to enable remote administration from any location.
The TEKO DAS Platform offers users a flexible range of options to connect to any combination of Carrier interfaces. The Master Unit is configurable via Donor Front End, Active Point of Interface, or DAS Trays. Remote Units employ a single antenna port in order to reduce loss and eliminate external combiners. Also included in the TEKO DAS Platform is the optional Multiband Spectrum Analyzer (MSA), which enables optimization via remote, recordable monitoring of venue performance. The MSA can provide non-intrusive monitoring of up to five bands on a single port.
